Ryzen x470 MoBo, 2 CPU Power sockets?

I just upgraded to a Ryzen 2600x and I noticed the motherboard has 2 8pin CPU sockets, cpu_pwr1 and cpu_pwr2. My PSU (which is only a couple of years old) only has one 8 pin socket. Reading the manual it doesn't mention that both need to be plugged in. The computer has turned on just using the one, but will I run in to trouble doing this?

Nope , using 1 should be just fine.
Second one is usually for extreme OC.

one is fine, daily oc should be fine as well. That stuff is for ln2 or future 10 core plus ryzen cpu.
