Does VW offer wap or any type of data service on their prepaid service?

If so, how is this priced and can you access any wap site?

Does VW offer a cut-through paging option in their VM (ie...to leave a
message wait for the tone or press the # whatever key to send a numeric
page)?

If so, are you able to do both a numeric page and a voice message within the
same call OR is it an either / or option?

Anybody around York, PA have any idea on the quality of service, voice,
coverage, the back mountain roads, etc.?

It's been a long time since I've used VZW's Prepay, so the answers may
have changed, but...

VZW does not offer WAP (Mobile Web) to Prepay customers. Period.
Now, that doesn't mean you might not be able to A) get data or B) use
a third-party WAP gateway with that data, but you can't get the easy
up "Mobile Web" option at any price on Prepay.

I didn't have a data-capable phone when I was solely on Prepay. When
I moved to a postpaid account, I had them put my old Prepay number on
NAM 2 on my LG 4400, so I could clean out the money in it and make a
smooth transition to the new number.

At one point, I did get the prepay account on NAM 2 to do tethered QNC
data (approx. 14.4Kbps or whatever QNC is)...and only found out by
accident when I forgot to switch over to NAM 1 to do data. Tethered =
attached to my PDA or laptop via cable.

So, I get the idea that QNC (slower speed) data, hooked to a PDA or
laptop, could work on Prepay...but I can't say for sure mine didn't
work because I already had a postpaid account on the same phone.

As for Mobile Web/WAP...and using a non-VZW server...there are folks
who are better experts at it than I am, so feel free to ask (I've
never used anything but VZW's MW server, and only on my postpaid
account). Presumably, if your phone is data capable with a WAP
browser, you could get it to work...but I've never tried it. It
definitely does NOT work with VZW's MW server and Prepay.
