Hey everyone!

Can anyone tell me if is there something worth to worry about in this SMART:

i'm worried with this UltraDMA CRC Error Count.

Thanks!

Solution
It's fine. There is no uniform implementation of SMART so the actual data is all vendor specific and thus completely nonsensical without knowing the implementation before hand. If CDI says that the drive is good, it's good.

Please keep in mind that even a healthy drive can suffer catastrophic failure from an otherwise undetected problem.

Is that temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit ? If it's in Celsius, which I suspect, I would be a little concerned. I have also read that a HDD cooled too low is also bad.

Yes, I'm somewhat of a newbie so take that into account. If more experienced users think it's not a problem, take their word over mine. : )

I guess you meant the other way around.. 34F would be almost freezing temp... not good for a HD..

34c is ok

I was looking at the ID list. About halfway down, it shows a temperature (C2). Maybe that's not the temp of the HDD? I didn't even notice the huge temperature symbol on top. I guess I just have HDD temps on my mind..... : )

The way SMART data is reported is vendor specific. The raw numbers do not mean anything on their own and are not absolute values.
