So I am very new to PC building. I did my first ever build yesterday. Everything seemed to be working fine all case fans and LED's worked. BIOS recognized my CPU and ram. I went to install Windows and it said the drive couldn't be partioned. Its a 2TB WD refurbished drive. I restarted the computer and then it gave me the whole "S.M.A.R.T. status: Bad, backup or repair". Does this mean the HDD is bad or did I mess something up in the build?

Update: I retryed just now and now its saying I can't install on either partition because that drive is about to fail. I have sent it back to newegg via RMA hoping it was just an HDD problem not a build problem? Could it have possibly been a build error on my part?
