Hi guys,
i've run into some problem. I tried checking my Western Digital 1TB HDD with some programs like HD Tune, or HD Sentinel, and both of them don't show my SMART status at all, it just says N/A or nothing.

I've checked everything in BIOS and it seems fine, everything works correctly but for some reason no program can show the SMART info of this hdd.

Also i think this was working before i was disconnecting hdd, while i was changing gpu 2 weeks ago, but i just put it it's ordinary place, like everything is working properly.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Solution
Sorry for late response, i found the solution if anyone out there is having similiar issue.
I just switched the sata port and it works fine.
Hey there, obeliskk1!

Have you checked if you have SMART enabled from BIOS? Do you have any other HDD inside your system that actually shows the SMART status? I'd advise you check these things first and once you do that, make sure you back up your data from the 1 TB WD drive somewhere off-site before proceeding with the troubleshooting.

Once you do that, I'd suggest you try running the DOS version of WD's Data LifeGuard Diagnostics . You should be able to see the DOS version of the software together with the instructions, once you select your WD product.

If it still doesn't show the SMART data, you should probably try resetting BIOS and reconfigure your BIOS settings.

Keep us posted & Good luck! :)
