Just put a build together yesterday and it will not post.
Here are the specs:

Core 2 Due E6400
ASUS P5B Deluxe
Corsair XMS2 6400 (5-5-5-12)
OCZ Modstream 520W PSU
XFX 7900GS XT
Seagate 7200.10 320GB
Tsunami Dream case

I am connecting the 4-pin power connector near the CPU and everything.
Everything turns on fine, but no image or beep. The Tsunami Dream doesn't seem to have a PC Speaker, so maybe that's why it won't beep.
Tried all combinations of slots with my memory. Single slot, same channel, different channel.. Tried removing everything, but no beep (again no PC speaker?).
Tried erasing the CMOS, still nothing.
Not sure what else I can try. Hopefully there's something else I can do to detect the problem.

Yeah, I rechecked all that more than once. Wonder if I should go buy some cheap DDR2 RAM at futureshop to try it out.

I'm pretty sure that no beep indicates it didn't pass the CPU test (I've spent a little time with ASUS tech support recently on this same board). I would start by disconnecting everything but the processor and the case speaker and go from there.

Is there reason you don't have the case speaker hooked up? You really need to hear the beeps if it's making them. don't go crazy trying different ram like I did if you don't have to. The ram test is the second test so if it doesn't pass this then you get two beeps. If you get three beeps that's a video problem, which was what my problem was (bad pcie slots). Just thowin what I learned out in hopes it helps...

Some motherboards have a small speaker built into the board. Disconnect/remove everything but the cpu and see what happens.

Took it all out of the case and still won't give a sign. The reason I am not using a PC speaker is because the Tsunami Dream case does not have PC speaker.
I can try moving into the old case, but then I will have no computer, so it will have to be later at night.

On the table I have motherboard, CPU, ram, gpu, psu. Plugged 12 pin, plugged 8-pin (near cpu), and the pci-e power. Also vga cable and keyboard, still nothing. Everything turns on ok (fans, lights) but no image.

Maybe I can buy a PC speaker somewhere to hook it up on the table setup as well?!

Is there any chance you have an old 775 socket CPU. I ran into that issue a while ago and had to use an older CPU to update the BIOS.

Not sure, it is unlikely since the P5B Deluxe are supposed to be Core 2 Duo ready. Is there a way I can tell though (revision number or something)?

I don't know about the p5b but the p5w dh I bought did NOT come with a conroe ready bois. The bios had to be UPDATED right out of the box or else no C2D operation. I don't have a C2D so I've not had the issue but many many others have. Check asus forum for your board.

I guess I will have to test just the motherboard. If I startup with only the CPU on, what should I get?
I will find a PC Speaker and put it in as well.
Having just the CPU should beep right?

Check the Bios version first! In the past I had a problem with my P4P800E DL not accepting the PSU I used those days...

So, I used the PC speaker from my old Antec case. No sound still. However, the pins for the PC Speaker on the connector and on the motherboard don't seem to match.

Motherboard says: +5v grd grd speaker
pc speaker connecotr: red (no cable) (no cable) black

Is that correct? The red cable matches the +5v, but the black (ground I assume) goes on the speaker.

Also, I tried hooking this up with only the CPU....no beeps. Not sure if the PC speaker is correct as the pins don't seem to match as I said above.

IT FINALLY BOOTED!!!
Thanks soo much everyone for your help.
It came down to the CPU not being properly connected somehow.
Took the CPU out, put it back, used the pc speaker from the other computer again and then I was finaly able to hear the beeps.
Once I got it to beep it was as simple as putting everything back in place.

Time to start the installs.
Thanks again to everyone...and thanks for all your suggestions mpilchfamily.
