Hi, my girlfriend and I were playing Sims 1 (uhm, the version we got,
seems to be called The Sims, Deluxe Edition).
We have this family in a house, the guy has a job, but the car just
doesn't want to turn up.

After some googling, we found out about some carpool port bug, but all
links to patches supposed to fix this problem appear to be dead.

Could someone in here please please help us? 🙂

(I know I've posted this before, but "black market halo" suggested
that adding the [S1] tag might help spark interest from knowfull
people)

If I remember correctly, during the move of trees or deleting sims with
move_objects etc., the carportal command the game uses could have been
deleted. I think that this is fixable under the Mailbox fixer. I have the
mailbox fixer if you are unable to get it. I also have a list of about 500
million (slight exaggeration) of Sims1 websites. I am not sure if all of
them are still around, but you are welcome to it. It is in Word format.

I have tried to send you the list of Sims 1 websites but it has been
returned by my virus protection saying it MAY have a virus and to be careful
opening. I will have to try again and see exactly what it is saying is wrong
because between the firewall, virus protection, pop up blockers, spam
blocker etc. my computer should have nothing wrong with it. I will get back
to you the progress.
