S7 Unlock Code?

Recently I tried to switch carriers on my Galaxy S7 but when switching the SIM card I had a prompt come up when it boots up asking for a network unlock code.
I was on Net 10 but wanted to switch to simple mobile. I bought the phone unlocked from best buy. An AT&T model. I have no idea who to contact for the code.
Net 10 was the carrier I first put on the s7 and I had no problem with it

It should already be unlocked if you were able to use Net 10. I would call AT&T and keep the Best Buy receipt to prove that you did indeed buy it unlocked.

Now, this is not pertaining to a PUK code, correct?

if you bought the phone and has a carrier name or does not have the word :unlocked" in the title or description then it is not unlocked

that or it locks to the carrier of whatever SIM card you placed in it first

I don't think so all it says is enter network code and apparently it's a number. And I bought this phone almost a year ago so no receipt

Go eg here, and search for "S7 unlock code". There are dozens of sellers which will sell you an unlock code for as little as $0.99 (and almost all of them will refund your money if it does not work).

Even then, he shouldn't have to buy it if it was already unlocked. I would talk to Best Buy and try to get your money back. Again that is what I would do.

Does the S7 not lock to the first carrier contract it connects to?

It should not lock in the first place. It's only locked down if it is tied to the carrier.

He did, but it was also unlocked. Which is how he was able to use Net 10. If it was unlocked, AT&T, it remains unlocked, it doesn't lock back down. I would recommend contacting Best Buy
