Hi guys!
As I mentioned before, I need the motherboard for Pentium D E6600.
Such brands like Asus, MSI, ASrock are in priority. ( another ones are acceptable too )

Please advice me something to buy or look at.
Inbuilt videographic is in priority as well.

( Perhaps someone owns this processor, share the information what exactly motherboard you use. )

Thanks a lot in advance!!!

Ok. Then the above information is correct in that your looking for a motherboard (out of literally hundreds) that has one of the listed (above) chip sets.

Go to EBay and search on "Intel P45 Motherboard" (just as one example). If you find a motherboard that looks to be in your price range (you'll want to do this search with most, if not all of the above chip sets), you'll then want to look at that motherboard's CPU Support List. The CPU support list is listed on just about every motherboard's support web page. Just Google the motherboard model number and then click on the link to the manufacturer's page.

As an example, let's look up the GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P:

The first link from the Google...
You're talking about a 10 year old CPU. Any typical smartphone has a more powerful CPU.

If you want to go ahead, look at P45 motherboards on auction sites. You should be able to find something in the $30-$50 range.

They will not have built-in graphics. That CPU, and all CPUs on that socket, don't have GPUs bult-in and the P45 chipset does not have built-in graphics. You can pick up a discrete GPU for $30 if you simply need to get display out of the system.

An alternative is an entry level APU and a proper motherboard for it.

Also note that Socket 775 used DDR2, which you'd need to buy at a premium from auction sites as used hardware. Even if you have the CPU already, it's going to cost you more money to get a used motherboard and RAM and basic GPU than it would be to buy a more modern motherboard, CPU, and RAM brand new like an APU and an entry level motherboard with cheap DDR3. The APU would outperform the E6600 - as I said, any typical smartphone would outperform that CPU.

There are motherboards which have got in-built videographic.
Well, I am going to buy a used motherboard and RAM for sure.

P.S. I need just a simple motherboard for the processor.

E6600 is not 10 years old, only 7. 😉
Anyway - motherboards supporting it would be:
P35/Q35/G35/P33/G33/Q33/P31/G31/P45/P43/G45/G43/G41/B43/Q43/Q45

Chipsets with integrated graphics start with G:
G35/G33/G31/G45/G43/G41

The first link from the Google search is the manufacturer's (Gigabyte's) site. Click on the Support link and then CPU Support. This brings up the CPU Support List which shows all the compatible processors for that particular motherboard. Scroll little under half way down the list and you'll see the Pentium E6600 listed there.

The process is similar for all motherboard manufacturers. You just need to find the CPU Support List for each motherboard you're interested in and make sure that processor is listed.

Hmm..
What if this processor isn't listed but E5400 or E2200 are listed? Does it mean that E6600 could work either? Or, on the contrary, does it mean E6600 is not compatible?

If the Pentium E6600 is not listed, then consider it not compatible. If the E5400 and the E2200 are listed but the E6600 is not, then it's likely the motherboard does not support the 1066 MHz Front Side Bus which the E6600 uses, while the E5400 and E2200 only require an 800 MHz front side bus.

Hmmm... That's where the trouble lies. Thanks a lot! :)
