Sabertooth 990 fx battery question

The " big battery" is, I think the power supply that plugs into the wall.
Other than a laptop, there are no other batteries in a normal desktop pc.


I assume you are referring to the cmos battery? Have you taken a good look at it and see if it has a part or model number printed on it? If so you should be able to search online based on that information.
 
Motherboard batteries are universally CR2032 3v lithium so far as I know.
They normally last a very long time, like 5+ years so it normally does not ever need to be replaced.
To be certain, find the one on your motherboard and see what it says on the battery itself.
 
Yes I was talking about my CMOS battery, although I had that info given to me by my computer knowledge friend, I thought motherboard batteries ran off the big battery that's attached to the case itself, we just needed to know if that battery was universal or something particular to the motherboard, thanks for your help!
