i have a sound blaster x-fi extreme fidelity gramers sound card
on the software that it gave me there is s speaker test the sound works
windows media player or games no sound ?? 🙁

Disable the integrated sound processor in Device Manager. That should do it.
FYI, sound cards are basically pointless unless you have some kind of fantastic audio setup, and even then they push uselessness. There's no longer an argument to be made for taking work off the CPU, as the work that goes into sound processing is practically negligible.
