Sabertooth 990fx PCIe running single card @ x8 WTH!?

ok pretty easy... i will list the affected components here and for whoever reads the thead title, it would be easy to understand my problem... (it is really pissing me off)

MoBo: Sabertooth 990fx
GPU: XFX Radeon HD6970

NO CROSSFIRE... only single gpu
bios updated to its latest version
the gpu is at the first pci e slot...


so please... give me a hand over here...

off course dude... check SYSTEM INFORMATION @Catalyst Control Center...

also with Sapphire TRIXX, on the INFO tab...

have you tried putting it in the other x16 slots and seeing what it reads then

1st slot = x8
2nd slot = x4
3rd slot = x16
4th slot = doesn't fit

the deal is... isn't it supposed for all the slots to work @x16???
