I wanted to start this thread because it seems there is a confusion to consumers about what you can call stable.
I have a fx core and even when i have stability tested it never exceeds 63c in the most extreme parts of tests

Can the i7 really run 30c hotter or more safely?
Are they both not silicone and should the i7 not show itself all around better with lower temps since it is a newer manufacturing process?

i say 60c is decent stability 50c optimal

not being within these values everyday will heavily reduce the life and becomes impossible to know if u could start a fire when a over clock is in place or less extreme damage hardware

http://sites.amd.com/us/documents/amd_fx_performance_tu...

AMD is able to reach 5ghz on air cooling when quality heat sinks and fans are in use

they do in fact recommend around 62c for alot of chips for safe temp
