Hello,
I recently addes another 2 RAM dimms to my setup (http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl8d-8gbrm) and found out that I didnt configure my RAM with the correct timings/voltage in the bios so I took quick care of that(they were running at 11-11-11-30 1.5V instead of 8-8-8-24). however, the temps while gaming/converting files etc went up. my 2 thermocouple temp sensors are located between 2 modules and give me a reading of 58-60 degrees celcius so the actual temp is a few degrees higher. I can't seem to find the safe opperating temperature for this RAM. I did however read somewhere that most manufacturers give a 85 degrees celsius max operating temperature.
could anyone confirm this?
also, because of the increase in temp I guess i'll have to change the direction of airflow of my h80i as my i7 4790k temps went up by quite alot. (they spike up to 79 while gaming, I cant imagine what an actual stresstest would give)
Kind regards,
Tsuneo6
