Hello, i am just new to overclocking and i just used AMD Vision Engine Control Center to change my GPU Clock and Memory Clock of my hg 5450. With GPUC(Lets say this as GPU Clock) and MemC(As Memory Clock)
My GPUC is 650MHz and MemC at 500MHz and im getting 49 C normal temp. Idle 50 C + and while gaming it reaches 60 C. When i set that to max 700 MHz GPUC and 900 MHz MemC it reaches about 60 C or higher. It has no fans, only a heatsink. Please reply, because i think this is a bad temperature even it is on its default :)

You are all good. I had an HD5450 awhile ago and it used to reach 80c at load it was highly overclocked because I was only holding onto it for a few more weeks, but yea, you are fine. Most AMD Radeon cards are rated for heat above 70c, especially the older ones, I knew people who's cards melted literally before they stop running. My 2 7850's now peak at around 60c as well and my airflow is good, GPU's just run hotter than cpus. If it gets hotter than 75c you might wanna install a case fan to blow on it, besides that you should be fine :)

Thanks. So about the clocks i set to my hd 5450 is good ?

this is just a thought and is what i did with my hd5450 passive. i know this thread is prob dead now but people still come across it when searching.

i used an old molex 80cm fan and pulled the cpu cardboard ducting from a machine i was taking apart. (you know the one fitted to factory units to pull air direct from the side panel.) this has allowed me to mount the fan on the side panel and the ducting takes the air direct to the card.

using this set up the noise is not much higher than standard and i can run the card at max levels and only hit 45c, it is idling at 34c.

hope this helps for those who may not have the funds for a better card but would like to push the 5450 a little to play games.
