I've read that the FX-6300's max temps is 72c for the socket temp and 62c for the core temps.

Was just wonder if 55-60c for socket temp is normal or not when under load, its hotter then what i'm used because their normally around 50ish but my ambient temps are pretty high due to the weather really heating up. Can ambient room temps affect the CPU temps that drastically?

I'd say that 60 C is safe for that processor. You should definitely try to not go above 65 C, but you will be good.
If you get above 65 C, consider get a good CPU cooler.

Lol! Turn up your air conditioning boy!
I am usually not happy that I live where there are two seasons, Winter and Summer, but it does help with my PC temps.

Haha, i would turn it on if i had the choice in the matter. We try not to turn it on till its pretty dang hot to save money, supposed to be up in the 80's rest of the week so i guess i'm gonna have to just deal with it =p
