Any advice is great...
I got a Ryzen 2700x CPU in March and realized pretty early on I got a "good one" that said I have been playing around with OC for about 3 months now, I have it base clocked to 4.3 GHZ which is stable and runs cooler at idle by 2c (33c-44c) than at 4.2 GHZ also...
There is a noticable jump in preformance in game's such as Shadows of War in Ultra settings of -10c (55c)...... question is this a freak or have I just hit the "sweet spot". Is it sustainable long term or will I end up with smoke and a bang ??? details of my system are...
CPU AMD 2700x
GPU Asus Rog Strix RTX 2080 OC
Ram Corsair Vengence C15 3000Mhz 32 GB(XMP)
MB Asus Rog Strix x470f on bio's preformance lvl 2 (I get better bench marks in OC3 but not FPS in-game)
PSU BeQuiet Pure Power 11 700w Gold
Cooling DEEPCOOL Gammaxx L120 RGB AIO Wasserkühler but upgraded with 2 Corsair 2500rpm fans front and back that I had from a previous build plus 4 Corsair case fans
Motherboard-Sdd is Samsung 500gb and a 1tb Seagate but that is not really relevant to my question
A quick run with Userbenchmark is as follows...
UserBenchmarks: Game 112%, Desk 97%, Work 107%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X - 90.4%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 - 131.8%
SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB - 115%
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB - 112.8%
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C15 4x8GB - 104.1%
MBD: Asus ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING
Know a wee bit and still learning...
Cheers
