Safe to overclock my AMD CPU to 3.6 GHz?

I have a AMD Athlon x4 II 645 3.1 GHz. I have a Gigabyte AMD + 760G + SB710 Chipset Micro ATX Motherboard (GA-78LMT-S2P). I also have aCooler Master Hyper TX3 CPU fan. Do you think it is safe to over clock my processor to 3.6 GHz?

Depends on a few things. Get to your current goal, do some stress testing, monitor your temps, then push a little more if everything is looking good.

But he only wants to get to 3.6... which is lower than 4...
Edit: Misread. You might be able to get to 4 with that cooler. Increase by increments past 3.6 though.
