So I've finished building my Gaming Rig and installation etc etc. And currently using it to type out this question.

Is it safe to put the Styrofoam Case Cover back on the computer?(Only the top cover)
I want to do this because my leg or more specifically my knee keeps knocking onto the computer. So I want to be on the safe side and put the Styrofoam that came with the Case in the box back on the computer.

Will the computer heat the Styrofoam up and destroy the components in the computer or cause a fire or whatever negative effects it will get when the Styrofoam is back on the case?

i dont see any problem having the cover on it.if it ever got too hot to start the styrofoam on fire you have way bigger problems.in other words wont happen unless the interior of the computer itself catches fire.as well i dont see any vents blocked off either. i would, however paint it black for asthetic reasons.

I read this Thread that says Styrofoam creates Static: http://www.societyofrobots.com/robotforum/index.php?topic=2722.0

But it should be fine since there is a computer chassis to "block" off the static? Or to be on the safe side, take the styrofoam out?
