safe to run a aio water cooler out side of my case

need to run my aio cooler for 24h to see if the pump will get the air out after 24h so id have to to run a fan cable to the pump outside of my case is this safe ? my pc will be on and cpu has a different coooler on it

I see no problem with doing so because it has nothing do with the components inside of the computer its just a pump and two fans running, it doesn't even matter how you put it outside of the case too since rads are meant to be positioned differently in a case. You could even do this with only a PSU and aio if you have the proper adapters.

I know my aio (Kraken X61) uses a sata power connection to power the pump so unless you haven't opened your aio yet or something and you know what power connections it needs you seem good to go.

Other then that stuff, what aio are you using?
And why are you doing this? "To see if the pump will get the air out", you mean you think there's air trapped in the loop? If so then keep the radiator above the pump.

I don't see why not. Just make sure the radiator is above the pump so if there are any air bubbles they go to the top at the radiator. Air bubbles trapped in the pump can keep it from being cooled by the coolant passing through and cause problems. Also if doing this outside the case, make sure the radiator stays above the pump all during the install of the aio cooler or it will all have been for nothing.

i got an rma for my cool master nepton 240m bc i messed up the mounting points and its only being holded up with 2 screws so i got an rma b4 i send the old one back and i hocked up the new one and it sounds like the is air traped in the pump and i wanted to do a 24h test and shack it a bit to get it to come out if not get an other replacement but cool master asked me to do a 24h test first

if your doing it to test the AIO unit, and its not mounted to a cpu, you can just run the pump without the fan.

yea i had the rad siting on top of a box with the pump hanging down i let it run for a few hours sound wont go away so going to rma again
