Hey, Mike2012 here. I recently started hearing a REALLY loud noise from PC. I narrowed it down to the system fan. I blew out the dust from the system fan, but that hasn't helped. It still makes the loud vacuum like noise.

So I unplugged the system fan and the noise has gone away.

Currently, I'm not in a situation where I can buy a new fan anytime soon.

So is it safe to run a PC without a system fan?

Solution
It should be fine, the 212 evo should be more than enough to keep the cpu cool until you get a new case fan. You shouldn't have to move the 212 evo's fan, I wouldn't worry about it.
What do you mean by system fan? A fan on your case? If so yes it should be fine. If you are talking about your cpu fan, no thats not okay.

If you are talking about a case fan just monitor your temps, if you see anything overheat maybe just take side panel of your case off until you get a new fan so you can get some airflow in your case.

I'm talking about just with my CPU fan. The system fan is the fan blows air outwards.

So far without the system fans I'm seeing MB temps of 35c idle. I'm have a Hyper 212 Evo, so maybe that's helping.

Is it possible I could turn the Hyper 212 Evo fan to where it is blowing air outwards?

I'm snowed in right now, so going to the store and buying a new system fan is not an option right now.

Completely safe as long as you keep an eye on your Motherboard Temps.
In the meantime it may be a good idea to slide the side panel off and lay it up against it to allow some better airflow until you can replace it, but al long as your temps are reasonable, have no fear.
The 212 EVO will take care of your CPU, but the MOSFET temps on your board may rise.

What are your system specs? I am not an expert but may be able to give you some "safe ranges" of temperatures. SpeedFan is a great tool for monitoring temperatures if you do not already have a monitoring solution on the workstation.
