Safe to run?

I've been having a problem with my CPU fan (http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1970149/loud-cpu-fan-early-start.html). and was just sent a replacement free of charge. My question now is (since i will be waiting 7 days to get it), judging by my description, can I safely run my pc for the next 7 days or do I risk hurting my CPU? I understand there has to be some risk, I'm just looking for an experienced opinion.
