Safe washers to use with the CPU bracket?

I "installed" an h100iv2 last night. When I booted up the system the first time I looked into the bios to witness the awesome cooling, and then watched in horror as the tempature climbed until it hit 90 and turned off. I blame this on one thing, the extremely wobbly bracket on my MSI B350 MOBO. I installed the standoffs, but the stupid bracket pushed back alot. I figured that I could get it snug if I used some washers to get the hexagonal things flush with the board. What would be some safe washers to use for this purpose?

The back bracket has to be facing a certain way. Take everything apart and rotate it so it is lined up properly.

Did you use the correct length screws?
Did you install the back plate on your motherboard properly?

I am using the stock backplae that came with the MOBO, I don't believe I have to do anything special to install it. The screws that I am using are the standoffs that are referenced in the directions.

Did your kit come with the AM4 kit?

I bought some neoprene washers, used three and that did the trick. My PC is now running as it should be with no wobble on the backplate.
