I am looking for guidance on keeping my computer safe when moving. I have two questions - should I remove the video card (EVGA 970 GTX) and heatsink (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO), and if so, do I need to worry about anti-static packaging? I have all the original packaging/inserts for the computer case and components.
I have heard that video cards and heatsinks can stay in the computer provided it's laid down and won't be thrown around or dropped. Thanks for any input.
Edit: Just to confirm, I will be driving, and taking the computer with me.
