Safenet USB Key not working

I have a safenet Sentinal USB key which I have just got containing liscence data for the accompanying CD. However the computer will not open it.

I have downloaded the correct drivers and it is showing up in Device Manager and says it has correct drivers & is up to date. The light on the end is on & not flashing but the drive will not show up in my computer so I cannot open it

The Sentinel USB lock has encrypted information wich has been designed to work with the software that is protecting. Is your software working?

I haven't got any specific software for the USB key, I received it with a disk for some GIS software as the USB key contains the licence info for the GIS software.

Do I need to get software from the USB key manufacturer in addition to the drivers?
