9thHello all!
I am currently studying the possibilities of diagnosing the condition of the car at a distance.
I have studied a lot of information on the internet. But I have a question, how unsafe to do it myself? As it says in the article about remote vehicle diagnostics the information which is transmitted via special software is protected by encryption. The question is, is there any risk of harming the car if I am not a professional?

From what I have seen good mechanics don’t trust error codes and sensor readings alone. Therefore what are you trying to achieve, as you still need to get the car to a good mechanic to properly diagnose a fault I don’t see the point of what you are trying to do.
