I was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with Sager with me. I hadn't heard of them before, but the customization options look great and they look to have a solid warranty.

I'd like to be able to play games of Shogun 2: Total War-type on medium settings. What issues would I run into with a system like this one:

15.6” HD+ 16:9 LED Backlit Wide screen (1600x900) Super Clear Matte Type Screen
- - 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM, 2.0-2.8GHz, (32nm, 6MB L3 cache)
- -Stock OEM Thermal Compound
- nVidia GT 540M 1024MB PCI-Express GDDR3 DX11 with Optimus™ Technology
- ~ 6,144MB DDR3 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS
- ~ 500GB 7200RPM (Serial-ATA II 300 - 16MB Cache)
- ~ Combo Dual Layer SuperMulti DVDRW/CDRW Drive w/ Software

Are there any select upgrades that anyone would recommend? This system costs $949, but I could probably spend a little more if it was really worthwhile.

Thanks for the input!

I can't say I've had any experiences with Sager, only read 100s and 100s of reviews about them.

There is only one thing I'd change, the Thermal Compound, get the IC diamond thermal compound, it adds 25 dollars, but it will make it run a whole lot cooler, which will make it last longer, and keep you from running into 1/4 of the problems that performance laptop users run into.
