I'm not sure if this section is the best place to ask, but I figured it would be alright since it involved a display. Anyway, I was recently given an iPad - outdated and generally awful, I decided I would take its nice display, use it as a second monitor or maybe a display for the Raspberry Pi. I haven't been able to find out much about this display, but have read that it uses LVDS - I'm not quite sure what exactly this means, but I believe it's a signal that I would like to convert to HDMI for the Rasp Pi or my PC. I searched around and found a converter:

Now here comes my question: will this converter be able to connect my display to my HDMI device, and will it power the display too? Or, could it be that I'm missing something?
Thanks to everyone who reads this in advance - any information is appreciated, just remember that I'm not very smart compared to a good few of you when it comes to this sort of thing.
