Same PSU brand using same cables?

Am I able to use the cables from my old psu in my old one? The first one I had was the Corsair rm 1000x and the HX1000i.

I wouldn't do that if i were you since the pinout on the PSU side can be different, despite the same brand. And if it is different, you'll short circuit either the PSU or the component at the other end of that power cable.

No. The RM1000x is type 4 and the HX1000i is type 3, they are not cross compatible.

In the end I took them all out and put the new one in although now I've got a problem where the computer turns on but there's no signal to monitor and keyboard and mouse aren't working
