Question Same Ram HyperX KHX24C11T2K2/8X Reading Differently on ASUS Z87-A

I am running two sets, (4 Ram Sticks ), of Kingston HyperX KHX24C11T2K2/8X on my ASUS Z87-A Dual Chanel Mother board with Win 10 64 Bit OS installed. One set of Ram shows 800 Mhz DDR-1600 and the other 667 Mhz DDR1333. The motherboard will not run in XMP mode with both sets installed. If I run only the 677 set it will not run in XMP mode. If I install just the two 800Mhz it will run fine in XMP mode. I bought this ram at the same time, but the only logical conclusion is that one set is either defective or counterfeit. Anyone else run into this?

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. XMP profiles are also for memory in the form sold. Other combinations you make have no guarantee to run at any set specifications if you can boot the system up.

Your part number is for laptop memory:
KHX24C11T2K2/8X - Kingston

I am not clear on what you mean. The mother board accepts 16 MB of ram. This particular ram is on ASUS preferred list. So 4 sticks of matching ram should operate at 16 MB XMP per the specs.
I beg to differ with your claim this is laptop ram as this ram is 5 inches long and over 2 inches high with spreader.

The kits are the same. That is my point. They both are in the same packaging with the same part number and same part numbers on the chips.

8GB kit, you have 2 kits of 8GB kit

1 kit would be 4x8GB in one.

I,m sorry I am confused by your reply.
The Rammon shows 4 sticks of 4 MB KHX24C11T2K2 Ram, (two identically labeled kits), (16MB total), running at the same time. The problem is that although they are all labeled as the same ram they are running at different speeds. My question is how can that be if they are the same.

they are not from the same kit 4x8GB
you might have bought 2 kits (2x8GB) at the same time, but they weren't test together.

I bought two kits. Each kit was KHX24C11T2K2/8X. Each kit consists of two 4G sticks of ram. All four were installed in the dual channel Asus Z87-A. The Rammon readout you are looking at is the readout of all four sticks operating at the same time in the computer. As you can see, they all read the same until line 16.

That exact what we are trying to tell you, while the general spec are the same(what they are selling). the detail is different.

All ram with that part number should perform the same.
What you are saying is that regardless of the part number and the specifications for that part number two sets of the same ram can have different specs than published by the manufacturer?
