Hi good people

yesterday i'm having a really weird problem (for me)

i've ben gaming on MSI nightblade z97i with a i7 4790k for months and it's very normal
and then yesterday i change the i7 4790k with an i5 4690k and the temp goes to 100 degree even in BIOS

i think there's some fault in fan or thermal paste, i tried both liquid cooling and air cooling, re-paste, but didn't work, the temps still get high
at first i think there's problem with the motherboard, and then i tried to change it back to my i7 4790k and it's back to normal

so my guess the problem is on the processor i5 4690k, is it possible? what are those possiblities?

yes it is
sometimes i thought the problem was the IHS connection too
but thanks for the reply
i'll try fixing the IHS connection then
