Samsung 172x - native colour temp?

I'm thinking of getting the 172x as an all-purpose monitor, but I'm not sure if it'll be good enough for photo editing (amateur). Which colour temp (degrees kelvin) is the 172x set at when using DVI-I input? From what I've read it's possible to change the colour temp only when using analogue input.

Hi,

You can't change the colour temp using the monitor controls when using the DVI input. However, I believe that you can using the supplied Magic Tune software:

I would suggest that you email their support to check that the software does what you require.
