For the past few months I've been waiting for a 19" LCD screen with 16ms response time to appear, in order to finally move from the CRT to the LCD world! One of my biggest hopes was the Samsung 192T, after reading many excellent reviews for the Samsung 191T. I thought that the new model of this 19" monitor would finally feature 16ms response time but during the last few days, a bit of information started appearing about this monitor and I have read that its response time is 25ms.

Does anyone know any extra info about the 192T? Does this mean that we won't be seeing a 16ms 19" display, at least for the near future?

That's right, the response time of <A HREF="http://www.aurora.se/samsung/samsung_192t.htm" target="_new">192T</A> is 25ms. <A HREF="http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1780&p=1" target="_new">This article</A> provides some insight into when we'll be seeing an ultra low response time LCD monitor from Samsung.

The NEC 1980SX has also 25ms response time. Should I simply accept the fact that no monitors with a response time <25ms will appear (at least soon) and simply choose among the current 19" LCD monitors on the market?

1980SX has not only same response time but same Samsung PVA panel.
I suggest it over the 192T because is a professional model with better quality.

If you want speed...
I've read Hitachi and NEC are making a new Super-IPS 19'' panel with 20/25ms.

With videogames 20ms IPS technology panel is better than any 16ms or even 12ms MVA/PVA panel.

It can be ready for middle May and a monitor already for July...
