Just recently picked up this monitor and Im having some issues.I have a Nvidia Geforce 5600 Ultra card wired to this display. The problem Im having has to do with Digital and Analog. When I attempt to use digital, I get some fuzziness on the screen in certain areas.I also cannot go above a resolution of 1280x1024.The lcd's max res is 1680x1050.When I hook it up in analog mode, the fuzziness is gone, and the max resolution can now go to 1680x1050.Im just confused as to why I cannot use digital? Does it have to do with my video card? Is there any big difference between digital and analog?

Help me please.Already searched google for a while to no avail.

Analog is better, of course.

OK, just kidding.

The quality of display will depend upon the panel, the chip which drives it and the video card output/port.

If those things are all good, a VGA display will be a sharp as a DVI display.

I suspect the DVI output of your monitor is faulty or the DVI port of your video card is faulty.

This is driving me nuts.In analog, all is fine.In digital, fuzziness and cannot get great reolution than 1280x1024.I also have a game that crashes now when I start it. =(

Don't mean to hurt your feelings, but piss'n and moan'n isn't going to fix it. Change something and see if you can isolate the problem.

Im pissing and moaning because all day long I have been trying to narrow it down.Im leaning towards a faulty cable or connection.Just hoping someone had a little more insight.

Yeah, right.... could be the cable. Change one thing out at a time until you've isolated the problem.

"Some sort of malfunction" in a computer system is a relatively frequent occurrence. So... just change what you think it "might" be until you figure it out.

Any luck with your Samsung 225BW and DVI yet?

I experience exactly the same with my new screen, analog screen output is 1680x1050 but the DVI output only gives me 1280x800. Drivers are all updated.

Hey ribe01, it turned out to be the video card.I have a Geforce 5600fx which is like 3 years old and the digital output cannot achieve that resolution. What video card do you have? You can do as I did and call the manufacturer, they should be able to help.
