[SOLVED] Samsung 4k 60 Hz Monitor capping at 30Hz on Dell XPS 9370

I recently purchased this monitor: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-U32R...itor&qid=1577308497&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&sr=8-3 .
After I installed it and used it, I noticed that it was capped at 30 Hz (No option higher than 60 Hz was available in display settings). I read about similar problems online and no solution has worked so far. I'm using the cable that came with the monitor an HDMI cable (probably 2.0).
Something weird I noticed was that when I went into the Samsung monitor's settings and clicked information, the description had 30 Hz even though the monitor is 60 Hz, so I suspect the monitor wasn't set up correctly or some setting was wrong.

Please help me solve my problem. Thanks :)

Solution
60hz is only capable through HDMI 2.0 connection or display port connection.

What I mean is, even though your monitor has a 2.0 port, and the cable is 2.0 compliant, your PC HDMI out port may not be 2.0.
You're right. I just checked and my graphics card (UHD 620) can only go up to HDMI 1.4 or DP 1.2. To get 4k at 60Hz, an HDMI 2.0 or a DP 1.2 is required. Looks like I won't be able to use an HDMI cable but I'll try out a DP 1.2 and I'll see how that goes.
