Samsung 4K UHD Monitor Refresh Rate Problem.

Hi, I bought this samsung 4K monitor for my system. Here is the model;

The highest refresh rate I have is only 40hz, I can not go up from that. I was wondering where is problem is? Since it says it has a 60hz refresh rate.
I am currently using a single GTX980 for the system now. Would that be a GPU maximum, when I run game at 4K?

If you look at the product page it's says: 4K, 3840 X 2160 Resolution (UHD), 60Hz (DP) . So you only get 60hz by using display port.

OK great. Thanks for the help. I saw that HDMI 2.0 would do that as well, I can buy that too?
