Hey all, I went through a major overhaul over the last week on my pc. With all the upgrade I finally got a motherboard that is sata3 6gb/s. I have had a samsung 830 64 gb ssd for about 3 months now and while it was running on my mATX sata2 board I was getting read speeds of 140-160 and write speeds of 120-130. Well the specs for this ssd states that it can get around 560 mb/s read and 160 write. The problem I am having is that the write speed now with the new motherboard is a lot higher than before but it is still no where close to what it is verified to put out. the last I ran it was 271 read and 157 write. The write is fine with me but it is half as slow as what is projected. I have changed the bios mode to ahci but there was another option on it that I didn't know. The motherboard is foxconn a9da-s. Here is a screen shot.

I’d suggest you go back to your user’s manual and confirm that the SSD’s settings are correct for the SATA 3 motherboard. Also, Samsung’s SSD Magician software, which comes standard with your drive, offers an auto-configuration function, which should be able to help you confirm that the system is configured correctly.
