Samsung 840 Evo lower speeds than expected

I recently got this SSD and decided to do a speed test only to see lower numbers than expected. I know I'm not supposed to be getting quite the advertised speeds but this just feels slower than normal. If I'm not mistaken I should be getting somewhere in the high 400's not the 300's? I already tried using Samsung's Performance Restoration program and have got no improvement. Any help is much appreciated.

I turned on Rapid mode and things are much faster now

Ok, but we need to make sure there's nothing bad going on. RAPID mode is only temporary and only affects certain types of usage. It doesn't refelct real world usage. Everything will run at that base speed that you posted outside of rapid.
