SAMSUNG 840 EVO - Read / Write Drops

Hello, guys, i just noticed that my SSD's Read/Write drops much more than someone else's SSD, i uptaded all Sata/ahci drivers and all motherboard drivers.. How can i fix that ?

In Magician i use Rapid Mode and OS optimization is set to Maximum Performane.

Free space on SSD is about 40%.
SSD is OS disk as C: and my HDD is D:.

Do you have over-provisioning configured/setup on the EVO?

No, it says it's not enough space to do that.
Edit: maximum i can use is 1% - 1.12GB, should i do it or wait until next windows reinstall and use bigger amount, because default is 10% - ~11gb ?

Interesting, you define the OP space within the Samsung Magician Software, under System Management. The recommendation is to allot 10% of the total capacity of the drive but I'm wondering you can claim 1% as the drive has only 40% of free space left.

Maybe someone else can chime in on this, as this indeed has peaked my interest.

Already did it before reading that huge information, so i added the 1% ( 1gb ) and the benchmark drops are still the same. Maybe it's more my motherboards fault ?

It may not mean anything but I noticed the following:

MB: GA-P61-S3 ( SATA II 3gb/s )

Does your board support SATA III?

No, it doesn't so that's what cause the drops ?

No, just curious however there seems to be an obvious SSD misconfiguration somewhere as it should not be displaying drops like that.

Here is a new benchmark after following this guide and restarting PC.

Can't see any improvement, still drops or it's normal ? Btw thanks for the guide, got like +10gb of free space

WOW! I'm officially stumped. I would say perform a Performance Optimization within Magician software for the final tally!

....or the OS Optimization and select Maximum Performance and then apply.

I still think it may be related to your OP partition size. Other than that I have nothing else to contribute, my apologies.
