Samsung 840 EVO vs. Kingston SSDNow V300?

I'm getting an SSD for my build (120GB) and I planned on getting the kingston because its cheaper, but I just saw that the samsung went down to the same price as the kingston. Which one has better specs and is more reliable. I'm leaning toward samsung.

I believe Samsung tends to be more reliable.

I have both I have a Kingston v 300 120 gig hard drive I mean SSD DRIVE AND THE 840 Samsung if there the same price the Sammy wins windows score Kingston 7.2 Sammy 7.3

Right now I would go with the Samsung. Kingston is behind on firmware update, therefore Kingston speed are A LOT LOWER!! than Samsung speeds. And because of the old firmware Kingston is using and has no update option or downgrade option, that is why there are so many bad reviews, mostly ones with 5.0.6 firmware.

As I said before in my response the kingston v 300 scored a 7.2 the samsung scored a 7.3 not alot slower almost the same on speed.

It's a lot slower because for many customers the sandforce firmware Kingston is using for v300 seems to be 5.0.6 which leads performance for customers to something around or even lower than 200MB/s for read and write while Samsung and many other SSD brands are using the 5.0.7 firmware allowing it to have faster speeds.

Yes, that's what the specifications say, but thats not the readings I'm getting from HD Tune, ATTO Disk, nor from Crystal Disk Mark. Forget them specifications. Check what customers are getting at their own benchmarks. Benchmarks for websites are mostly from long time ago when firmware 505 was out.
