Hello,
I recently bought a Dell Latitude E7440 ultrabook; it came with a 128 GB mSATA SSD. I bought a 1TB Samsung 840 EVO mSATA as an upgrade and installed it.
With the old SSD, Windows booted in about 6 or 7 seconds, but this new one takes almost twice that, even though it should technically be much faster than the old one.
I've tried using both RAID and AHCI, and I have tried Legacy and UEFI boot options with the same results every time. No amount of tweaking in Samsung's Magician utility improves anything either.
The odd thing is that it's only startup that's slow - the drive performs very well once it's actually in Windows.
It's quite confusing and annoying; any advice would be greatly appreciated.
