SAMSUNG 840 Pro 128GB vs SAMSUNG 840 EVO?

Solution

The only thing that an SSD is going to change is your load time. In game, from my understanding/experience, will play the same as a decent HDD.

I'd still go with the EVO.
The EVO uses TLC, the Pro uses MLC; see explanation here: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1697953/tlc-mlc-ssd.html. The Pro has way faster random writes, while the EVO has slightly faster sequential writes. EVO has a newer controller, probably an upgrade from the MDX.

For you an me, we're not going to see much of a difference. I'd swing for the EVO at this point.

Cheers!
