I want to purchase the Samsung 840 Pro. I'm American, but I live in South Korea. I have ordered most of my components in the US to be shipped here. Most components are over priced in Korea--even with shipping and import taxes its cheaper to get many parts from the US instead of South Korea. However, the Samsung SSD is one of those things that makes sense to buy here. But I noticed that the model number for the US one is: MZ-7PD128BW, while the Korean one is MZ-7PD128B/KR.

Does the /KR signify anything other than location of manufacturing? Would there be any differences or compatibility problems with my US purchased components?

Solution

I have spoken to Samsung Tech Support by calling 1-800-SAMSUNG and it was very easy. They prolly have similar access where you are. If not, I would contact them by e-mail and ask directly.
