Samsung 840 pro SSD question

Is it possible to buy the SSD right now and install everything that I want in it and move it to another new rig with a whole different spec (Just the SSD) so I don't have trouble installing windows etc. later on when I get the computer parts to my door? (Probably 2-3week after)

If your new PC is a completely different CPU architecture, it might not boot at all.

Its always better to do a fresh install with a new PC.
