Why do these number on this drive seem so high? I bought a samsung 970 evo nvme, and I cant see any real world difference between these 2 drives at all. Is this drive supposed to run at these speeds? I have it installed in a msi x470 gaming pro board using a ryzen 5 2600x. I thought maybe the board was causing it to run like this. Dont get me wrong, its lightning fast, but I thought it was bit unusual to faster in some respect to my nvme drive that I just purchased. I will post images for both tests I ran. ! test was on the 850 evo with crystaldisk and the other is using samsung magician so you can see both drives

RAPID mode is using some of your RAM as a cache for the SSD.
That benchmark is just reading your RAM speed.

I tried it for a while, saw no actual benefit. So I turned it off.

Exactly it's a mirage in terms of performance.

just so this post has an end to it, here is my results with rapid mode disabled. I did notice that my RAM use is far less. Average use is now 4.6gb as opposed to 9 or so (give or take). Again I want to thank you kind folks for the advice/information. I reference this site quite alot over the years, but I had to ask this question. Thanks again. Have a wonderful day all :)
