Hi,

I just bought a Thinkpad T450s and wish to upgrade my hdd to an ssd. I plugged my ssd in a transcend storjet case which the laptop is able to identify and asks me to initialize when I access the disk management tool.

On firing up the Samsung magician/Data Migration software it does not identify my ssd as a Samsung SSD.

I am presently running windows 10 on the laptop.

Do I have to initialize the SSD before cloning it because I've not seen it mentioned anywhere in any video or forum as a prerequisite.

Solution
Magician only sees the SSD when its plugged internally and Migration doesn't support Windows 10 yet, so use a antoher cloning tool that already has Windows 10 support.
