Samsung 850 evo Sata vs. M.2

I don't care about convenience/power just raw numbers. So, which is better in terms of boot and load times?

Both are equal. The m.2 version of the 850 evo is running sata 3 not PCIE.

Also like to note for basic stuff (even gaming) there is no point in upgrading to a NVMe for faster boot times. The boot times are almost the same. the NVMe is good if you are coping large files or large video editing (4k ect)

Thanks I think I'll get M.2 since I don't have to route cables and I do plan on doing some youtube stuff down the line

Yea M.2 is nice and compact for sure. They do tend to get hotter but unless you are really pushing them all the time you should be fine.
