Samsung 850 evo SSD on IDE mode and 775 board

Hello guys! I am planning to buy a Samsung 850 evo. I have G41d3 biostar LGA775 board. I just want to clarify that is it Trim is that important for my SSD lifespan? I don't care about my performance i just care about its lifespan. If it's important then what should i do to enable trim? Ofcourse i have Sata II connection because my board is old i don't mind the speed. Please help me i don't want to waste my money and it's warranty 🙁

IMPORTANT NOTE: G41 LGA775 BOARD Doesn't support AHCI

You should run it as AHCI if that option is available.
