Samsung 850 EVO SSD

I purchased the Samsung 850 EVO SSD. I am using the SSD with Mediasonic HDK-SU3 harddrive enclosure.

The SSD does not show up on My Computer or anything. The Samsung Magician program is not able to find the SSD either. Also nothing shows up on the Samsung Data Migration program.

When I try to Initialize the SSD under disk management, it says "Device is not ready"

I am not too sure what I can do from here. Please help!

Its not a well rated enclosure from my quick googling. WE cant tell if its the drive or the enclosure, it there a way for you to try the ssd internally to a pc or mac using the standard sata connections?

Thanks for your answer. I've plugged the SSD into my comp and it works fine. I just assumed any harddrive would be compatible with the hard drive enclosure.
