Samsung 850 Evo VS. SanDisk Ultra II?

So I am in the market for an SSD. I am stuck between these two.

I have heard good things about both!

I never had an SSD and currently have a Western Digital Black.

I do no do any editing or hardcore file transfer, just looking to launch apps faster, and load games and general performance increase. Also reliability.

Reasons why I would really like the SanDisk is because it is roughly $50 cheaper, and also I can get it today at my local store and take the money saved and get 8GB more of RAM since NewEgg.com has my RipJaws on sale for $29.99.

Samsung is the best , but SanDisk has decent quality SSD's, the Dual upgrade is the way to go.

I'd have to say that the samsung quality is better. Sandisk is still decent though (the ultra 2 uses different nand). Lifespan is hard to determine. For your use case, the ssd should outlast you (no joke). Definitely get the sandisk so you can upgrade your ram.

Whatever drive you get, use these programs to diagnose/test the ssd so you can spot something out of the original:
